The Gala Sales Team is headed up by our National Sales and Development Manager, Jerry McDonnell.
Jerry guides and supports his team of regional managers in their mission to support the businesses of our retailer network, offering comprehensive advice and counsel across different categories within the retail business.
The regional managers take a holistic approach to a retailer's annual targets, setting out and monitoring commercial objectives, performing gap analyses as required and providing guidance on corrective action plans where necessary.
Gala's Fresh Food Managers focus on Gala's Deli and Hot food offerings, assisting and advising on HACCP, stock control and waste management. The managers are constant innovators, developing fresh deli concepts that tap into customers' wants and needs. 2013 will see Gala offering new exciting deli concepts to retailers, adding new points of difference to Gala's offer to its customers.
The Development Team
Gala's Development Team works with both new and existing members of the Gala Retail Network. The team works with new retailers to develop solid business plans, encompassing issues such as business management, break even analysis, margins and overheads, ensuring the smooth running of the development process for both new retailers and existing retailers who wish to revitalise their store.
The IT Team
Gala Retail Services In-house IT Team assist with store openings and one to one training, ensuring our retailers get off to the right start from the day the store opens. Our aim is to show our retailers how to utilize their epos systems to their full potential through group training sessions and one to one training where necessary. Our IT team is constantly reviewing the latest retail industry technologies and exploring their potential for rolling out across our network of stores. Our latest pilot schemes have included trials for an innovative EDI solution, designed to create significant monetary and labour savings for Gala retailers and wholesalers, as well as trials for a new cash management and security system.
Tony Cluskey is responsible for all marketing and promotional activity, within the Gala group. Tony works to a national plan, as well as offering Retailers bespoke plans suited to their needs. Emphasis is on protecting and upholding 'Gala's Corporate Brand Identity
